Structures of Life - Land Snail Update
Land snails are required to conduct "Investigation 4: Meet the Land Snail" from the Structures of Life module.
The following states allow the transport of land snails with a valid permit. To obtain a valid permit, follow the instructions on the Obtaining Land Snails Checklist .

If your state does not permit the transport of land snails, you should skip Investigation 4 and conduct "Investigation 5: Bess Beetles." This new investigation was developed especially for teachers and students in states where land snails are not permitted by the USDA. Below are the Teacher Guide materials you will need to conduct this investigation.
