Vice President Sales, Frey
School Specialty Science helps educators engage and inspire students by providing innovative and proprietary science products, curriculum, supplementary materials, equipment, and lab planning services to preK-12 schools.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the efforts of the sales functions to maximize revenue and margin performance.
- Develops, plans, directs and leads sales activities to achieve organizational, functional and financial goals including but not limited to field sales team, inside sales and bids/contracts.
- Leads and drives the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Develops and monitors adherence to Sales budget; prepares sales forecasts and develops commission plans.
- Partners with VP, Sales, Delta/CPO, Marketing VP and VP Product Development to maximize potential for entire line of School Specialty Science programs, products and services throughout the preK-16 science market.
- Selects, develops, motivates and leads staff to ensure attainment of desired results.
- Works with Marketing team to merchandise and design catalogs and other promotional materials including selecting products to be removed and added to; and prices catalog products.
- Participates in executive leadership team at School Specialty Science.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Science, Marketing or Business field required.
- Minimum seven years of sales/marketing experience AND five years of sales/marketing experience in the K-12 Education market.
- Experience leading catalog/direct mail and advertising campaigns from development/planning phase to distribution.
- Marketing research and product development experience.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical ability.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong, proven managerial and leaderships skills.
- Extensive travel required

We are currently seeking an extremely organized team player to join our Nashua , NH Product Development team. The selected individual will provide administrative support for our best-selling K-8 basal science curriculum program. Responsibilities include assisting with the trafficking of new and backlist print materials, ongoing maintenance of budgets and photo database, photocopying, filing, requisitioning samples, and other administrative tasks as needed. Other responsibilities may include proofreading corrections and reviewing printer proofs.
The successful candidate will be extremely organized and detail-oriented, and should possess excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will also be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and work well as a member of a team or independently in a deadline-oriented environment. Bachelor’s degree in English or similar discipline and 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field are preferred. Must be very proficient with Word and Excel. Familiarity with the editorial process is a plus.
